a chapter or experiment from Hogan's Your Eternal Self. Then I'd follow up with the investigations by Stevenson in 200 Cases Suggestive of Reincarnation. So much material from each for meaningful conversations and much better than "don't question the reality of Jesus or you'll go to hell" approach to understanding the Mind, soul and religiosity vs soul development.
