Try to remember to vote this Roevember, and follow!

So I got this tune from The Fantasticks stuck in my head last night while reading DU threads, and did a bit of a rewrite...

----------------
Try to remember the kind of November
When no one whined except the shallow.

Try to remember democracy's tender.
Our sacred right to vote is hallowed.

Try to remember that recent November
That spawned a Big Lie that's too hard to swallow.

Try to remember to vote this Roevember, and follow!

Try to remember our rights are all embers
Our votes are what can make them billow.

Try to remember at polls this November
The Right wants to smother your rights with a pillow.

Try to remember the GOP members
Whose claims and treasonous lies ring hollow.

Try to remember to vote this Roevember, and follow!

----------------

Apologies to Tom Jones...

And VOTE!

Harvey Lester Schmidt was an American composer for musical theatre and illustrator. He was best known for composing the music for the longest running musical in history, The Fantasticks, which ran off-Broadway for 42 years, from 1960 to 2002.

Still thank for for exposing me to all these Tom Jones 😀

I couldn't link to his Wikipedia page directly because it has (writer) in it, and parentheses don't seem to work in links here.
