(14,125 posts)He has the same mouth movements, but only a shaky left hand. His legs take a long time to move, very different than MJF. My grandfather also had it. It's a horrible disease.

(10,431 posts)But I can never forget how he was mocked by the drug-addled gasbag Limbaugh, and republicons said nothing.
RedSpartan
(1,693 posts)He left no legacy worth remembering or discussing.
Fox will be remembered by millions with smiles, respect, and admiration for many, many years to come.
In 10 years, Limbaugh will be a footnote in books detailing the deterioration of public discourse in the US.
MJF will still be Marty.

(13,507 posts)be remembered for his great work for people with this disease and people will admire him for many years to come.

(823 posts)You NEVER hear Limbaugh's name anymore. Rush was a wealthy guy and could have done so much good with his resources and "talents". Too bad he was so full of shit and hate at the same time.
As far as MJF goes, kudos to him. Most celebs don't have the balls to appear in public if their image isn't "perfect". Seems like a down to earth guy.

(810 posts)I really admire his positivity and bravery. He is working so hard to help people with Parkinson's and to help find a cure. His legacy will live on.
My mom has Parkinson's and it's a terrible disease. But she got it when she was in her early 90s. There are so many people who have it and sadly, so many young people, even children. I hope they can find a cure soon.

According to the above article:
"Globally, neurological disorders are the leading cause of disability. Of these, Parkinsons disease is the fastest-growing. In 19902015, the number of people living with Parkinsons doubled to more than 6.2 million. By 2040, experts predict that that number will reach 12 million."

(1,143 posts)I guess that's the spirit's purpose, isn't it.
If anyone needed evidence, this brief clip demonstrates the power of the human spirit. And the audience's hunger to see it.
I grew up with Michael Fox on the box, so this is like watching a family member getting older.
