Tapper asked all the questions, is Putin nuts, is Hunter a problem, are you too old, etc. and he rose to the occasion with a keen mind and wit, and an awareness of who is paying attention and will use it. I came away happy that he is the heart of a smart, calculated, compassionate government and his confidence is contagious.

And personally I think Putin is nuts.

He also did a great job answering the question about our relationship with Saudi Arabia, by declining to be specific while affirming that there would be consequences.

Most compelling for me was his response to whether he is up to the job due to age, and his ability to point to a clear record of accomplishment.
