Fearless Nancy: 'If he comes, I'm going to punch him out."

Watching Trump direct a rabid mob to March on “the CAP-it-all.”

“If he comes, I’m going to punch him out," Speaker Pelosi said. "I’ve been waiting for this. For trespassing on the Capitol grounds, I’m going to punch him out. And I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy."

Pelosi is later seen reacting to Trump’s speech at the Ellipse, where he told his supporters to march to the Capitol, and said he’d be there with them to protest the election certification.

“Tell him, if he comes here, we’re going to the White House,” Pelosi quips, with a laugh.

Thus, we still have a Republic.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi on impeachment inquiry: "All roads seem to lead to Putin with the president"

The House speaker says she is not planning to hold a full House vote to formally authorize an inquiry at this time

SHIRA TARLO
OCTOBER 16, 2019 4:50PM (UTC)

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., revealed Tuesday that the Democratic-led impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump has so far led lawmakers to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"All roads seem to lead to Putin with the president," Pelosi told reporters during her weekly press conference, following a meeting with her caucus.

Snip...

"We're not here to call bluffs. We're here to find the truth — to uphold the Constitution of the United States," she added. "This is not a game for us. This is deadly serious, and we're on a path that is getting us to a path to truth and timetable that respects our Constitution."

table combined.

She said that as far as Jan 6th goes all roads lead to tRump. I did old school math and concluded that if all Jan 6th crimes lead to tRump then all Jan 6th must lead to Putin.

If I were going out for Halloween I would whip out my outfit from 2018...my red coat, brown, bobbed wig, big, chunky necklace, and sunglasses (not easy in the dark). Everyone in my neighborhood knew who I was, even without me clapping in front of me like she did during the State Of The Union Address.

She is the real deal. Team Tr54son are revealed by the record:

One scene from the footage, around 3:18 p.m. ET, shows some of the senior Democratic officials talking again with Ryan McCarthy, the Army secretary. Schumer was apparently under the impression that the military response was impeded.

“I never said no,” Ryan McCarthy says, about activating the National Guard. “I just had to get permission.” Without naming any names, Ryan McCarthy then tells the lawmakers that he “had to talk to my boss.” It’s not clear who the Army leader was referring to, but acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller was technically his boss.

She certainly knew what Dimdonnie was doing. The contrast shows in their character. She is a person of integrity, made clear by her analysis and actions on January 6. She and Sen. Schumer knew they had to keep Congress in session. Nancy Pelosi, a profile in courage.

Contrast with the self-pitying agony of Pisswig Drumpf da Foist. The excuses of Republicans in the Executive Branch and from throughout state and local governments — for Dump’s lack of action should be played at their capital trials for treason.

‘Do you believe this?’: New video shows how Nancy Pelosi took charge in Capitol riot

House speaker continued to try to find a way for House and Senate to reconvene despite turmoil

The Guardian staff and agencies
Thu 13 Oct 2022 21.01 EDT

New footage of the January 6 riots at the US Capitol shows House speaker Nancy Pelosi calmly trying to take charge of the situation as she sheltered at Fort McNair, two miles south of the Capitol.

“There has to be some way,” she told colleagues, “we can maintain the sense that people have that there is some security or some confidence that government can function and that you can elect the president of the United States.”

Then an unidentified voice interjected with alarming news: lawmakers on the House floor had begun putting on teargas masks in preparation for a breach. Pelosi asked the woman to repeat what she said.

“Do you believe this?” Pelosi said to another Democratic leader, Jim Clyburn of South Carolina.

Snip…

The recordings offer a rare glimpse into the real-time reactions of the most powerful members of Congress as they scrambled to drum up support from all parts of the government, including from agencies seemingly ill prepared for the chaos, and vented anger over a president whose conduct they felt had endangered their lives.

She upheld her oath of office. From MSNBC:

“We have got to get — finish the proceedings or else they will have a complete victory,” Pelosi says on the phone as she’s apparently being walked by aides to safety, referring to the process for certifying Biden’s Electoral College victory.

In another clip she pleads to colleagues and aides with her in the secure location: “There has to be some way we can maintain the sense that people have that there is some security or some confidence that government can function, and that you can elect the president of the United States.”

Nancy's dad was a 4 time mayor of "Balmor hun" that's Baltimore to you none easterners. In the eastern industrial big cities if someone gets in your face you get right back in their face. Otherwise you lose the respect of your constituents. The picture with JFK was on a visit to Baltimore that her dad took her to.

She puts her rivals in Congress to shame.

She received the 2019 Profile in Courage Award from the John F. Kennedy Library:

The 2019 Profile in Courage Award goes to Speaker Nancy Pelosi for putting the national interest above her party's interest to expand access to health care for all Americans and then, against a wave of political attacks, leading the effort to retake the majority and elect the most diverse Congress in our nation's history. More

In 2010, amid a public climate of deepening polarization, Pelosi tirelessly spearheaded the passage of the Affordable Care Act. The ACA has subsequently enabled millions of Americans to have access to quality, affordable health care, and improved benefits for tens of millions more; it was the most significant expansion of health care access since the implementation of Medicare and Medicaid nearly half a century before. Following its passage, Pelosi became the subject of negative political attacks from the GOP. Democrats lost control of the House in November 2010, ending her first tenure as House Speaker.

Despite facing opposition, Pelosi Illustrated her persistence and determination, as she set out to rebuild the Democratic Party in the image of America. In 2018, she led Democrats in electing the most diverse Congress in U.S. history – more people of color, more LGBT Americans, and a record setting 35 new Democratic women – including the first native American women and Muslim American women. With Democrats back in the majority, Pelosi elevated a new generation of leaders to leadership positions and skillfully united her party focusing on shared values, policy priorities, and a commitment to governing for the greater good. On January 3, 2019, Pelosi was once again elected Speaker of the House, becoming the first speaker in more than 60 years to win nonconsecutive terms.

In her extraordinary tenure as House Speaker, Pelosi has secured the passage of landmark legislation to expand access to health care, make historic investments in renewable energy resources, improve access to education, reform the financial services industry, and repeal the discriminatory “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that that barred gays and lesbians from serving openly in the U.S. military.

In an award ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Library on May 19, 2019, Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, her son Jack Schlossberg, with other family members presented the Profile in Courage Award to Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
