(9,998 posts)That brings up an interesting question. If he was forced to resign, would Turtle become Majority Leader for the rest of this Congress? Not enough time for a Special Election, and the winner next month won't be seated until January.

The only way out:
Resign
Convicted of felony
Death
However, there is absolutely no reason for him to resign

Edit: there will be a replacement named if he cannot serve for any reason.

Unless they passed a law like Kentucky.
