Among those likely to vote in the gubernatorial election, 52 percent of respondents said theyll support Abbot, while 44 percent offered their support for ORourke.

BTW i've seen at least 5 Beto signs in my neighborhood here in Collin Cty, & i know of other houses who are liberal. Woohoo!!

(15,423 posts)He should hold his nose and move to the right for just two weeks. Texas is quite Red, and whether we like to admit it or not, it won't elect someone that's liberal on every major issue. Maybe he really could turn 5% and tip the election.
Now, what should he do to move to the right? Maybe property taxes, or something tough on immigration that we may not like.

Most of the pundit ratings say that Dems will have to win most of the "toss up" House seats to keep the majority. Numbers like this are more encouraging than some others I've seen. Here's hoping.
