Everyone of us can choose to comply with a subpoena. However, we all know that failure to comply has its own set of consequences.
You might decide that the consequences of not complying are less than the criminal liability of compliance.
The bigger question is why have there been so few consequences for or not complying?
Maybe in my little town, if you were served with a subpoena, it meant you went.
