No more massive strikes on Ukraine, for now - Pooty Poot

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said there is no need for more massive strikes on Ukraine, days after the heaviest bombardment of the country since the war began.

He said most designated targets of the strikes had been hit, adding that it was not his aim to destroy Ukraine.

Moscow's goal of mobilising 300,000 men would be met within two weeks, he said.

Mr Putin's words come as Russian forces seem stalled and Ukraine advances, almost eight months since the invasion.

About half are intercepted or fail to reach their target. RU only has so many of the sophisticated weapons on hand.

Pretty soon Russia is going to be reduced to throwing pub darts and paper airplanes at Ukraine. And when this is over and the mighty Red Army heads back home with its tail between its legs, the outpouring of foreign aid and assistance to Ukraine will give Putin and his pals something real to worry about. But they won't have anymore bang-bangs, and nobody's going to be intimidated by what's left of Russia's military.

The T62 has been obsolete for decades but Russia can't get sophisticated parts from the west needed for it's more modern tanks.

The strikes earlier this week left a lot of roads and bridges and power plants untouched. If Putin could have destroyed a lot more of that stuff, he would have.

The Russians do not have the missiles.

Yeah, I know....

But their reported strategy is to try to stabilize their lines, bring in reinforcements and supplies, new armor, and wait for the ground to freeze up a bit.

Then they will hit ukraine from multiple directions including with 250,000 troops from belarus (including 50k belarus soldiers).

Of course, it will be hard for troops to advance with no fingers or toes. And they might find belarus will trow out the regime and turn on the russians billeted there.

But hey, plans.

700 million dollars on the one day alone. 700 million in missile strikes. He's allegedly getting very low on precision guided missiles. Then his new conscripts have started surrendering on the battlefield. They don't want to be his cannon fodder. Not looking so good Pooty.
