Fox News: "Trump 'loves the idea of testifying' before Jan. 6 committee"

Fox News

EXCLUSIVE: Former President Donald Trump "loves the idea of testifying" before the House select committee investigating January 6th, a source close to Trump told Fox News Digital just after the panel unanimously voted to subpoena him.

The source said that if Trump complied with the subpoena and testified, he would "talk about how corrupt the election was, how corrupt the committee was, and how Nancy Pelosi did not call up the National Guard that Trump strongly recommended for her to do three days earlier on January 3, 2021."

The source told Fox News Digital that it is unclear at this point if Trump actually will testify before the committee, but stressed that Trump "loves the idea."

You take the oath, sit your ass in a chair and ANSWER QUESTIONS---or take the 5th.

And, that's exactly why he will not testify: he would not be in control and kicking, screaming, whining and flopping around on the floor would not help.

Trump would be questioned in private like all the other witnesses. As the old legal saying goes: "never ask a question that you don't know the answer to".

he will not allow any questions, he will just speak while they listen.

Then he will say they refused to let him testify.

He reportedly only answered when asked his name. Trump isn't stupid, he'll never go before the 1/6 Committee and answer questions.

But he's also a coward like most bullies. More problematic hes so self deluded he probably doesn't even know when he's telling the truth vs lying... which is an issue under oath.

about how he was a better baseball player than Joe Dimagio, beat Jesse Owens in a 100M Dash and slept with more women than Wilt Chamberlain.

He will appear...probably...maybe it will be Tuesday, but whenever he appears, it will be the bigliest event in the history of all history, let me tell you, more people will watch this than did the Dallas "Who Shot Jr" episode and the last episode of M*A*S*H combined.

"Mr. Trump, you have said repeatedly - and your followers have done the same - that Speaker Pelosi is at fault for the attack because she did not call up the National Guard. Please inform the panel if you are aware that the only people who had the authority to call up the DC National Guard on January 6, 2021, were yourself, the Acting Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Army, and the Speaker of the House did not have that authority."
