I guess the next time one of us commits Perjury in Court, we can ask for a Do-Over too. I'm sure that will work out just fine.

Granted, the House committee has no "presumption of innocence," they're hardly supposed to be unbiased.
But to come out and say, "You're lying"? In other words, "You'e guilty of perjury"? Very prosecutorial. And very Executive.
There's fact finding. Legislative.
There's prosecuting. Executive.
There's being judge and jury. Reserved to the Judicial and the citizenry.

(2,018 posts)Yall who are acting like this is some kind of special treatment, STOP. This is a committee catching out perjurers, and trying to get the truth. They can still be charged with, and convicted of, perjury. They can still be held in contempt of congress. If one of the rats breaks and spills all, they can decide to not charge, or do lesser charges. Theyre literally hoping that one or more will rush to eat out the others for better treatment, and then theyll definitely mail the others.

(15,646 posts)the truth for the first interviews? Im assuming so from what Ive gathered via hearings so far. If so, it seems they now have no where to go but the truth or jail and no more job. It would be good to hear the truth or even 5th amendment invoked from those SS who were complicit.
