The OKness, or Not of the USA, and Nov. 8, 2022

Most of us know that this country has always had levels, and areas of okayness, and Not okayness.
As Dems post Civil War (except for too many Southern Dems for too long) we've mostly tried to increase okayness for people in general, and esp bring people out of Not okayness.
With the original major gutting of the VRA, then drumphf, his enablers, and followers while in office and horrifically after he lost, and finally out still causing mayhem (also making it harder for students, and the disabled to vote) as authoritarian lovers became bolder, target more people, etc...
we are in deep trouble.
Each of us will hopefully do our extra best to fight against the darkness before, and on Nov 8th what ever each person can do.
Do I have hope? Yeah, some.
The wave of utterly, righteous wave of enraged women, and male allies might truly make a real difference in helping to keep, and somewhat increase our hold on The House, and Senate (and Patrick Leahey get better!). Then we have to continue to deal with the SC and 2024. Gah. Horridness!
Also as Saint Yogi Berra says "It ain't over till it's over".
History shown us that things go along the way they are until suddenly they Don't. That can skew bad, but it can also skew good.
I'm sure going to have to bridle bouts of panic. I'm also going to make sure I have some fun to get some balance, and increase mental, emotional strength. I'll also try to think of other ways I can help.
