General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI was in western Pennsylvania this week, checking out the political lawn signs . . .
This is a RED area, so as expected there are quite a lot of Mastriano/Oz/Trump/LetsGoBrandon signs.
BUT
I saw a surprising amount of SHAPIRO and FETTERMAN signs. Especially very large SHAPIRO signs.
This is a very rural area near the Ohio border.
On our drive across Pennsylvania, we made quite a few pit stops and saw a surprising number of signs for DEMOCRATS all over the state.
And Democrats don't tend to put up political signs as much as Republicans do.
It's not as much of a thing in the cities and suburbs as it is in rural areas.

(37,062 posts)There are far more signs for Democrats then Republicans, meaning absolutely nothing. But its nice to see.
We were flooded with anti abortion signs provided by the Catholic crime family during most of the year and the crime family got their ass kicked in August. I can never figure out the sign thing. Sad to say but there are still crime family signs dotting the landscape

(25,980 posts)I was in a neighborhood meeting late this afternoon, and to my surprise, supportive comments for Stacey Abrams came up. It's a rural and fairly reddish/purple conservative area so the surprise was a welcome and pleasant one.

just Shapiro and Fetterman signs. Except for the asshole behind me that has a DON'T BLAME ME, I voted for TRUMP flag Would love to tear it down, but he has all these security devices all over his property. His yard is a trash heap full of old cars, parts of cars, wood, refrig and two guard dogs. You know--the typical Magat yard.

(9,267 posts)A lot more Dem signs than R! Usually not the case here. And not just Shapiro and Fetterman but local races too.

(486 posts)Northampton township. I see alot of Shapiro and Fetterman signs, but a ton of down ballot republicans for state house and so on. I think i'm in a very red area of bucks.

(4 posts)Some of us are too afraid to place a sign in our yards. Those that have put up signs for Democrats, have had them stolen.

(7,724 posts)along our drive through Lehigh Valley, past Quakertown/Bethlehem en route to a pickin party in Wind Gap we saw a whole bunch of Shapiro and Fetterman signs. Dem signs are a rarity out there if you see any at all, yet our guys' signs were at least equal to, if not more plentiful the Mastriano/Oz signage

(15,286 posts)not far from the Ohio border. There aren't a lot of yard signs out, but so far only the known Trumper house down the road from me has Mastriano/Oz/downballot Rs signs in front. There's about 4 places with Shapiro, Fetterman and Deluzio (PA-17) yard signs. The houses I know that had Trump signs in 2020, nothing.
