I don't know what got into me!

As I was writing about Nancy and the others making those phone calls, it suddenly hit me full force just how close the Bloated Tick came to getting her and a lot of other people murderered in cold blood, and (even worse) how happy it would have made him if he'd succeeded. It was nothing I didn't already know, of course, but seeing that video made me FEEL it in a whole new way. And that made me see and FEEL how incredibly evil he is more sharply and clearly than ever before.

I am positive that he would literally have been thrilled to see Pence swing from that gallows and suffused with glee if Nancy and any of the other Dems had been tortured and murdered. I'm not sure if I was fully convinced of that before, but I sure am now.

36. I don't know if you've been on Alcatraz, but...

The cellhouse at Alcatraz has three levels. The bottom one, which is at ground level, is open to the public. The top two are closed to public access. The mess hall is still there but all the kitchen equipment has been removed. The shower facility still exists - I got a small laugh when I learned that Alcatraz' shower room soap dishes are just galvanized electrical boxes, like you'd install switches and outlets in. The control room still exists but the equipment has been removed. (Yes, while I was visiting Alcatraz I was thinking all the time of what it would take to turn the place back into a functional prison and put Trump in it.)

Here's what I'm thinking. There are enough cells on the top two tiers to hold the entire Trump administration plus the leadership of the various militias that did the dirty work on January 6th and the Members of Congress that were most closely involved in the insurrection planning, like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert. Installing a freight elevator wouldn't be a huge problem. A large commercial kitchen could be installed, and as a bonus they could take reservations so those of us on the outside could buy and enjoy a Real Prison Lunch or a Real Prison Dinner. With proper pricing of these meals it is conceivable Trump's incarceration could turn a profit for the government. Prisoners are required by federal law to receive one hour outdoors per day, and this could be done before tourists are allowed on the island. They'd almost certainly have to put a new water heater in because the old one is...well, really old...and new ones would be much more efficient. Electricity isn't a problem; the whole facility has it right now. The prison gift shop would remain, and add t-shirts with Trump behind bars to their inventory. Alcatraz had a Federal Prison Industries shop on its premises; this could be reopened although moving the prisoners to it would require a bit of crowd control to separate the guests from the inmates as the latter were marched from the cellhouse to the workshops.

With a little judicious planning Alcatraz could both house the Trump Administration and continue with its current educational mission. It's a win for everyone.

Plus...Alcatraz has a library. There aren't any books in it right now because there are no prisoners there. They could EASILY construct the Trump Presidential Library in that space, explaining how someone went from Bad Businessman and Worse President to Doing Life In Alcatraz in only four short years.

But here's the bonus. The Member of Congress he despises most lives in San Francisco. You do understand just what being locked up in Nancy Pelosi's district is going to do to the bastard's mental health, and how glorious it will be to think about it.
