Anyone else feel that our candidates need to talk more about saving our democracy in these debates?

I know that most of the moderators are steering question toward inflation, crime, etc...all the GOP talking points and the issues they believe hurt Biden the most...almost like they dislike Biden for some reason. But none of that shit will matter if we lose the voice of MOST of the people to the fascist-leaning GOP in the House and Senate. The J6 Committee has given us a golden opportunity press the issue to save our Republic, our democracy, but our candidates do not seem to do a good job of reframing moderator questions to link all the other issue to the overriding issue of losing our ability to vote for our best interests and have that vote counted. After yesterday's Hearing our folks should be out there saying something like:

"Sure, inflation, crime, jobs, the environment are ALL important issues to deal with and our President Biden has been doing the work with a lot success to deal with all those issues. BUT voters need to understand that if we lose our democracy and the institutions that are the pillars of our stability in the face of our enemies at home and abroad, more powerful criminal will be running our government and the corporate forces that are hurting us now will continue to raise prices and interests rates at the same time while average citizens will be at each other's throats just trying to survive." Ok. so this might be a little over the top but you get my drift. At least REMIND voters that Biden's rescue was passed without a single GOP vote.

I am so tired of debate moderators asking ridiculous questions that might evoke sensational headlines the next day.

The Election Argument That Democrats Aren't Making, But Must to Win - More Perfect Union

Democrats are making a huge mistake when they focus only on listing their accomplishments or reacting to Republican attacks on crime, argues pollster Stan Greenberg. To win, Democrats must address the top issue on voters’ minds – cost of living, wages, and corporate greed.

GET them to focus on it via constant reminders, NOT what the GOP wants them to focus on thanks to THEIR constant reminders! Never stop attacking them on democracy/fascism, abortion, personal freedom, and privacy.

Very few members have extensive, prepared plans in place in case of a fascist take over. This suggests most of us have figured living under the thumb of a christo-fascist regime won't be that bad and would be acceptable

Stupid, stupid, stupid Americans don't give a shit about "democracy" The big talking point is either the price of gas or who is going to the fucking Superbowl. Americans make me sick!!!!! Watching the film Network for the zillionth time has driven this point home.

wake up and take a listen. Promise them a free 6-pack and they may actually listen for more than 45 seconds.

rising crime, those are some of the issues people care about. The Democrats need to focus on issues that the voters are worried about.
