On Bill Maher, Michael Smerconish said that both Trump and Pence should have been

subpoenaed by the committee at the start and they would have had all the time to fight it.

I admit that it does make sense to me. But perhaps not?

OTOH the MAGAs would have provided nothing but garbage. There was a good reason why Gym Jordan was kept off the committee.
