And we just allow it to keep happening over and over and over again because the gun nuts and the Supreme Court thinks it’s perfectly fine to let anyone of any age actually have a military style assault weapon that has one purpose—to kill people.

As a country, we no longer need militias the way we did when the Second Amendment was passed, but the Court has conveniently ignored original intent and essentially excised the first part of that amendment from the Constitution.

Every year, we just seem to slide further and further into being a dysfunctional country—aided and abetted by the Republican Party, right-wing media, white supremacists, anti-government militias, white evangelicals wanting to send us all back to the 1500s, and a Supreme Court manipulating the law.
