There are 31 billionaires that own just about every single industry in the United States

And the global markets. Just imagine if we have a president, those 31 billionaires don't like.
I wonder what the economy would look like?💭💭💭
I wonder if they would encourage another world leader to just start A-war with Ukraine out of nowhere. 6 months after the Afghanistan war ended in 4 days after mask mandates were lifted.💭💭💭

And we've been trained to blame the president when they "manipulate the markets"

Aint that something

What would happen to those billionaires if we stopped giving them all of our money? What happens to a system that depends on the people to participate in it?? If the people wise up and stop participating.

Ignoring their system, Restores our individual power.
Just think about it. let me know what you think. If you choose to share I would love to hear from you

Thanks💜

Billionaires don't need tax cuts. It's just another way that they rob from us the ones who made them billionaires

I wouldn't be surprised if they have people who have infiltrated DU, and just watch what we post to see if we're getting too close to talking about them.💭💭💭

The worldwide chemical industry is about a $5.7 trillion sector & the US is 13% of that. (By far the biggest player.)
All the giants in the US chemical industry have very broadly distributed shareholders. There's no one "titan" that can assert dominance. Same is true of electrical production.
Maybe this is an effect of corporate maturation. So, many are so old, there's no one monied interest to control the sector.

2. We are supposed to have an economy of public companies and public securities markets

Oct 2022

but they've become concentrated over time. Shareholders are supposed to have a say in how companies are run, but shareholders turn out to be 80% index funds who want the financial juice now and vote with the billionaire class. Plus it take big bucks, perhaps 2 or 3 hundred thousand dollars to get a proposal on an annual meeting ballot and support its dissemination. So only very important issues get noticed and about 80% of them fail to pass.

Presidents have little power financially.

People have power if they hunker down collectively and refuse to spend money. Production for home use is a lost art. Self-reliance. Do for yourself rather than hiring someone from a company - any company - to do it for you.

Large fast food is all corporate now, mostly owned by companies that own and manage brands of food companies. Time was Wendy's was independent, when founder Dave Thomas ran the show. Now ... well I haven't looked at it recently, but last I looked it was Billionaire Nelson Peltz. Panyerraa was bought by private equity. I was shocked at the paltry offering my $8 dinner spit out. The money goes to rent, debt, wages (barely), utilities, profits for private equity. It's not in the food on my table.

Care to double down? Get home delivery! Uber Eats and DoorDash are the 2 largest players. More money for corporations. Do you get the idea our lifestyles are choking us to death?

A few years ago some TV dinner trade association did a study to see what they could do about flagging sales. Their recommendation? Advertise more. You can hardly find the food in the tray, but don't fix that problem. Don't put more money into the food. Put it into TV ads.

That's why I keep Netflix because for now they don't have advertisements.

And I like YouTube because every now and then I'm allowed to skip the advertisements

They would hate the way I live.
I only buy used cars from a family member. I'm in my late forties allegedly lol I've only owned about 4 cars I keep them 9 years at a time or 10.

I pay cash for my car so I don't get alone. And knowing I intend to keep the car for 10 years I start saving money for the next one as soon as I get 1. So by the time I'm ready to let that car go in 10 years if I choose to. I already have the money to buy another one. And that also allows me the opportunity to give the car and no longer want away without charging someone else from my used car.

Doesn't that sound like the worst thing that any huge manufacturer would want to hear someone say.
🤣🤣🤣

I've heard 300, 100 and 10. Just curious what your sources are.

I agree with you, the US is a kleptocracy. Are these the 31 kleptocrats or thieves that ruined our economy back in 2008? They are definitely the ones who are protecting TFG and made sure Russia got him elected.

Look at how disgusting Trump looks. He is a seething pustule on the butt of our democracy. And these kleptocrats be they 31 or 100 are just as disgusting as he is. People tend to pick others just like themselves when they hire, even when hiring monsters to destroy democracy.

Basically it does demonstrate that it's just a handful of these greedy men pulling the levers on our entire society. Here's another fun fact. You and I as individual taxpayers make up 65% of the United States government's revenue. Without us individual taxpayers this country, and all those billionaires would go bankrupt. If we stopped participating in their system. Just imagine if one Christmas we decided not to buy any presents.
Thanksgiving we just didn't buy any turkeys Unless they were from local farmers.

What if no one stood in line to buy another iPhone 14 not that they even needed 1. We're constantly inundated with crap we don't need. But the moment we say we need help from the government all of a sudden we're told we are leeches on the society. Even though we're on the asking for our 65% back you know what I mean?

And for some reason republicans, Pay more respect to the billionaires, Then they 65% to the government revenue. Why aren't we treated with the same if not more importance than the corporate masters?

We Run this Mother!
Just think how excited Donald Trump would have been if his ratings were at 65%.

Yet for somehow the fact that we contribute 65% as individual humans that's what they call us
That gets completely erased as if it's unimportant.

I don't know about you, but it really pisses me off.

We contribute so much, and yet when we say Hey we would like free college for that money, of 40, affordable healthcare, Mental health care for those that need it

We're called socialist. And they tell us to love it or leave it.

All we're asking the government to do is spend our money and a way that benefits us more, Didn't anything else. And we have every right to demand those things because the government gets 65% of its revenue from us. Not corporations.

Let me stop there I go ranting again lol.

At any rate these people are powerful enough to affect everything about our economy
Without us truly being able to blame them for anything.

I think the reason they ran up the prices on housing, Was to keep people from being able to leave the Southwestern part of the United States once Lake Meade Runs out of water.

They may have all of us distracted or at least they believe that they do.
The United States is on the verge of a huge, Climate change catastrophe and this country is not preparing for it in any way shape or form. And this isn't 20/30 years down the road

This could be more like 1 to 2 years. Before all h*** breaks loose

And it scares the shit out of me.. This and the fascist republican agenda.

They want as many people as possible to suffer and die because the republicans and who fund republicans are sociopaths.
They get off on suffering ,cruelty ,abuse and death. They get in the way of any climate agendas for a reason. And its not just greed.

But I'm sure they do a great job of making sure we the people stay divided in in their own little corners.

Remember 6 of those billionaires control all the media in our country. And all they ever constantly talk about is their number one favorite distraction the Orange monkey.

Mainstream media doesn't cover the climate change problem in our country for example.
Mainstream media isn't covering the fact that lake Mead is that 1000' and dropping
And when it gets below 950' the Southwestern part of the United States will face a critical loss of water

What happens to those people in a country where billionaires have made it too expensive for people to move?
In local and state governments charge people $20000 to $40000 for environmental impact fees just to build a house.

Instead of trying to solve the problem they spent the last 20 years, trying to make us ignore it

So your correct maybe billionaires don't care about democratic underground. Or they do. And anyone who shows up until the truth. Just might be reprimanded, or swiftly discredited. or Locked post
maybe
Who knows

In thought experiments, I wonder what would happen if for just one day, a critical mass of people decided to not spend a single penny. The blowback would have adverse consequences for those living on the margins. Their "losses" would in their minds need to be recouped somehow. Hourly workers would be sent home without a full day's pay. Orders for the next day's materials and supplies would be called off to make up for that really bad day of business. In no imaginable scenario does the billionaire just say, "Oh well, I guess I will be slightly less rich."

Think about this. The money you have in your bank account or wallet today set aside for spending tomorrow according to them is already theirs.

On edit: In other thought experiments, I ponder the reaction if we all remember money isn't real, we just made it up. Enjoy your billion meaningless worth units.

Whenever you use a corporate entity, A grocery store, Walmart, target, the gas station
All you are doing is feeding these billionaire monsters.

The only way to stop is to attempt to create a life where you don't need them.

But that of course it costs money too.
My hubby and I have purchased 5 acres of land and we intend to build a tiny house on it.
And grow as much of our own food as possible. Raise a few chickens so we can have our own organic eggs.

For the privilege of doing this it's probably going to take just about every penny we've saved up.
As far as I'm concerned they can have it all as long as in the end I get what I want.

Which is my cute little house on my 5 acres of land and they can leave me the hell alone

Stop buying plastic pumpkins I really don't get that 1. lol There are so many real pumpkins sold at churches and local farms why doesn't anyone need a fake plastic pumpkin🤷🏾‍♀️

Prepare your food at home, And try to stay away from all processed foods.
I know that's a tough one but frankly corporation food is filled with all sorts of artificial ingredients and we're a natural body.

If the food we're eating, has medical side effects and it's ingredients, Maybe we should be avoiding all of those chemicals.

Pay off credit cards and stop using them. They are the greatest financial trap they ever invented.
That's what my father told me back in the eighties. He was definitely on to something.

Never take more money from a financial institution than what you absolutely need.
I want needed a $25000 loan The lone agent was like but you can get $50000.
Of course I said I don't need 50000 I only need 25K thank you.

And he was openly agitated with me. So I took my business elsewhere.
