Yes, he was funny decades ago as part of Monty Python and originally supported the Labor Party. That alone doesn't make him a good person & it's not who he is now.

He announced five days ago he is going to host a new show in 2023 on GB News, a network that features a mix of news and opinion and has been widely described as taking on a conservative stance.

He's a transphobe.

As "Otto English" on Twitter said, "Old John Cleese has become everything young John Cleese mocked and ridiculed. It's really too depressing to watch."

NOR INDEED DO WE INTEND THAT VIEWERS SHOULD CONSIDER THEM AS CRABBY ULCEROUS LITTLE SELF-SEEKING VERMIN WITH FURRY LEGS AND AN EXCESSIVE ADDICTION TO ALCOHOL AND CERTAIN EXPLICIT SEXUAL PRACTICES WHICH SOME PEOPLE MIGHT FIND OFFENSIVE.
