I'm THRILLED to report that I am still testing NEGATIVE for Covid!!!

My friend is going to test again this morning. She's been pretty much 99.999% asymptomatic so hopefully she's in the clear. If not, she will be extending her visit.

Even though I'm fully boosted, I'm going to stock up on some tests.

Honestly, I don't think I've gotten this many vaccinations in such a short period of time (Covid, Flu and Pneumonia) since I was in the Navy.

I've been kind of keeping my fear to myself and forcing myself to act upbeat because I didn't want my friend to feel guilty. She's ultra cautious and has NO idea how she got infected.

This wasn't the visit we expected but we've made the best of it. I'm glad we were able to get her the Paxlovid on the very first day she tested positive.

But she didn't. Since her taste buds are working I've been cooking up a storm - lots of different types of food. And we've enjoyed wine and crazy movies and caught up on lots of stuff so even though I am EXHAUSTED, it's been fun. We haven't seen each other in 3 years.

Glad your friend is doing as well as can be expected after testing positive, hope she's in the clear when she tests again.

I spaced out my appt for my vaccination last week so I'll do it again this week, they do it on Tuesdays at the clinic I go to. I still mask up when I go into places.

I had a scare. My temp was up one degree, my eyes felt achy, and I had a sore throat. But I tested negative for 4 days. I have 2 different test brands and used both of them, in case one was more accurate than the other. Both came up negative each time.

Hot lemon zinger tea helped with the sore throat. I took a Tylenol and did the things that I do for a cold or flu, like salt water gargle, extra o.j., and spicy food. Made a dish that uses Italian sausage (mild), tomatoes, and bell peppers. I already take vitamin supplements daily.

The sore throat was gone in one day. The temp decreased gradually, in tenths of a degree. Normal by Saturday morning. Never did get fatigue, change in taste, or problems breathing. No loss of appetite, no nausea.

So maybe it was the flu. But if so, that makes me nervous about my masks (Honeywell N95). If the flu could get through, maybe covid could, too.

We had a house guest arrive with Covid in July. She was very sick, but neither of us got it.

We loaded up on the Vitamin C, Zinc, Black Elderberry, and Monolaurin, and wore masks, even in the house.

I'm glad you're so careful. And I envy you the 3 vaccinations in a short time! I still need Flu, Pneumonia, and Shingles vaxxes, but have to space them out at least a month. The Navy would have rejected me, I'm sure! Glad for the Bivalent Pfizer we both got last week!
