(82,849 posts)Also, any mention of gas prices that doesn't refer to the more than $50 billion in profits reported by big oil in the second quarter. Anyone think those profits were sucked directly out of the pockets of the driving public?

They have NO agenda and can't legislate their way out of a brown paper bag but the stellar and unbiased news media and their incredible zeal for truth and facts about anything, other than any lame assed sporting events, interests the average lazy American. Americans choose to remain purposely ignorant and hide their heads in the sand until some issue that finally, specifically concerns them arises. That is when they start to wake up but that doesn't mean that the news they are getting is even factual. I have seen this over and over for at least 40 years...
