It is now obvious that the January 6 Investigation is not going away.

As much as Republicans would like to believe it would happen, it is with us until there is some sort of resolution.

Normally, Republicans simply out-wait any criticism or investigation and it disappears into history. Unfortunately for them, it is not going to happen this time. They cannot say that it didn't happen or that it wasn't a big deal.

It is best for them to realize that the sooner we resolve the issue, the better it is for them. The longer it persists, the more damage they are going to see and feel for their Party.

The indictment is coming soon. Republicans will have to decide with whom they stand? Do they stand with the insurrectionists and the traitors, or do they stand with the laws and our Constitution? That is their choice.

Every major news outlet in the country and a lot of international news was on hand to cover what should’ve been the peaceful transfer of power. Not to mention C-SPAN cameras filming the whole thing. There must be thousands of hours of video. And the perpetrators themselves never got tired of incriminating themselves online video. We just can’t let them distract with their lame vulgar culture war issues

They just needed to run it out until November 8th.

They've succeeded in that.

Whatever happens after, whether they win or lose, they have options. If they win, they'll just let the committee die. If they lose and/or the DOJ indicts Trump, then he's out of the way for 2024 and they can coalesce around someone like DeSantis.

It's not a secret that many Republicans in power - particularly the Establishment - do not like Trump. However, they are afraid of the power he wields with his base. Look at the primary results for those who have opposed him or are perceived to have wronged him in some way. They get what they can out of him, but they'd be just as happy to see him jettisoned so they can run the party unimpeded again.

They weren't long-term thinking with this. It was "Get to November 8th by hook or by crook."

Garland will not be handing down an indictment before the election. There's no way.

The first thing they will do is disband the committee and/or re-structure it and withdraw the subpoena to Trump, rendering that moot.

"The indictment is coming soon."

He also might be indicted for sedition and conspriacy of sedition. House changing will not affect Justice Dept. Yes, they can investigate afterwards, but tfg is a criminal and don't know that they want that advertised more?

He appears to be winning, except for Letitia James and Fani Willis. Also Alan Weisselberg is headed to trial.

As far as Trump going to trial when could that possibly happen? 2024 at the soonest?
