In a 50-50 Senate, which part of that does MITCHELL NOT UNDERSTAND!!!

Speaker Pelosi was kind, "with all due respect"

They always go easy on Republicans when their asses are on the hot seat.

They're A LOT rougher on Democrats of any and all stripe and level of achievement or electability.

And I cannot quite figure out why.

as a sham, a scam, a rich man's grift. Oh, she always knew that, I don't think you can live with Alan Greenspan and not know that, it's more that the rest of us know that.

I don't think she looks that rough, but the stress lines are starting to show. I'll agree that she's irrelevant and likely just a little bitter as she clings to her party line and talking points and tries to push buttons that have been largely disconnected.

I also liked Speaker Pelosi's "with all due respect..." You know she meant ZERO.

We need way more Democrats to follow her lead in their dealings with the press. Mitchell's an idiot, always has been, and has been allowed to get away with this kind of drivel for way too long.

We have some GREAT young guns in our party...O'Rourke, Lieu, AOC, & Swalwell just to name a few. These guys are NOT afraid of a fight, and don't care if they're called a "liberal". Reagan made that an invective during the 80's and the Democrats spent the next couple of decades being afraid of the title. These guys embrace it. Pelosi can help them focus that energy. Follow the leader, guys. Follow the leader.

Make them look bad, make them look stupid on camera. Make them fear that as much as they fear showing "liberal bias."

32. Sometimes an interviewer will ask questions that they think their audience is wondering about.
Tue Oct 18, 2022, 05:02 PM

This is often done to give the interviewee a chance to address those questions directly in their own words. I see instances of this all the time, where Rachel or Lawrence or whoever will ask a question they likely know the answer to as a way of setting things up for a guest expert to pontificate on the area of their expertise. When done properly, it can be very effective and so subtle one barely notices them doing it.

This was NOT an instance of that! Mitchell asked that question out of massive ignorance, and she then seemed to have a hard time understanding what Nancy was trying to tell her. It was clear from Nancy's reaction that she was taken aback by both the question and Mitchell's difficulty understanding why the Democrats in the Senate can't just pass whatever they want with that razor thin margin.

I agree that Mitchell needs to retire.
