Crash the economy on purpose': GOP to gut Social Security and Medicare if it wins House

66 million Americans get their income from Social Security. 64 million Americans use Medicare for their primary health insurance, and 76 million Americans use Medicaid for healthcare.

Since last week Republicans have been talking about gutting these three critical programs, which they falsely call “entitlements,” despite them being funded through every employed person’s paycheck.

Last week the four Republicans vying to become the next Chair of the House Budget Committee all said they would use a vote on the debt ceiling – which is simply voting to raise the country’s credit limit on everything we have already purchased (that’s a critical point, it’s to pay our bills, not to buy more) – basically as a sword to get Democrats to support massive reductions in critical programs that literally help keep millions of Americans alive.

This week, multiple Republicans, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, have admitted the plan is to use the debt ceiling as a threat to slash Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

"There are billionaires who need tax cuts. Won't anyone think of the poor billionaires?" Keven McCarthy

Think of the 100 million voters who see no reason to bother to vote next month.

It makes you wonder if our complete annihilation, which is certain if they win, isnt earned.

The false part is publicans denigrating the word “entitlement”, making it mean stolen.

is the last giant pile of "free money" our Wall Street overlords desire most, like 30% right off the top for "expenses".

Their Eye is fixed upon it, yea, as much as Sauron's gaze upon the One Ring!

Republican legislators have tried this before. They'll blink and raise the debt ceiling because their corporate overlords don't really want them to crash the economy.

Every democrat running for office needs to run on this. I told this to a trumper friend and he told me it’s a lie made up by the evil dems to scare people. MSM and democratic politicians need to show video of these clips. Show them proof! Then maybe they’ll stop voting against their own self interest.

As long as it "ownz the libz."

This is because they're stupid, and we all need to remember the basic laws of human stupidity, as defined by Carlo Cipolla over five decades ago:

1. Everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals among us.

2. The probability that a certain person is stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.

3. A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person while deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses themselves.

4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals.

5. A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person.

--Carlo Cipolla, from his book, The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity

The stupid, evil r party and its stupid, evil supporters have been exhibiting step 3 for decades now. Stop expecting that they care about their own self-interests. They don't and never will, as long as they think that those they hate get hurt more, in however trivial a way.

We need to stop expecting stupid people to act rationally, because not only are they incapable of it, but also because their stupidity makes them dangerous to decent people everywhere. They are willing to destroy everything--even the universe itself--to "own the libz."

Even IF a bill was passed in a Republican House, I doubt it would pass in a razor thin Republican Majority Senate.

And IF it passed the Senate, Biden would veto it.

Wouldn’t he?

I’m frightened to death to lose my SS and MCR. And I’m only 68 with a family history of hitting my 90’s.

That’s a loooong time to live on $00 incoming. What do they expect millions of seniors to do FFS????????
