Always ask the cop if he has been drinking or is on drugs... (Original Post) multigraincracker Oct 2022 OP
Can you imagine if the guy asking these questions were black? Hugh_Lebowski Oct 2022 #1
Sure. On average, a black guy'd definitely be more at risk than a white one. Hortensis Oct 2022 #10

He'd have been on the ground with a boot to his neck about 1 minute into it.

But, in the real world, the vast majority of police stops do not involve brutality and a large majority of those that do are within guidelines. (Note that the the scenario you draw emphatically would not be.)

That leaves the criminal LEO attacks. Aren't they full reason for outrage? Don't they deserve it?

The detective would've hit his walkie about 1 minute in, and the police station behind him would've emptied like a dugout when a batter got beaned in the head, and the pitcher flipped him off afterwards.

That's my point. I'm not talking about police stops in general, I'm talking THIS case.

A black man doing THIS particular thing ... would've almost certainly have ended up arrested, and very likely gotten the shit kicked out of him.

should always be regarded as challenging fate. I'm an old white woman and I'd be about as likely to challenge an unknown cop as a belligerent drunk in an ally. Just watching that made me uncomfortable, though for more than one reason.

I'm also sure we both recognize others well enough who refuse to understand their world, and so be able to evaluate its problems anything like realistically. Like those desperate to stop the Democrats before they throw the borders open to the brown hoards come to replace us. Game over.

cops are decent people but they also have a lot of assholes that let their badge and gun go to their head.

Having been harrassed by cops a lot in the late 60's and early 70's because of my long hair, I always enjoying seeing these types of videos.

I knew a white old man who said he got the shit beaten out of him by a cop for carrying condoms as a teen (I think the 40's or 50's).

is having 6 cops from 2 departments handcuffing a woman and placing her in a squad car parked on the railroad tracks and watching her get run over by a train.

It’s just privilege. Cops don’t need that treatment anymore than the rest of us. It certainly doesn’t make the point that civilians should be respected.

There are many rude, full of themselves, power tripping cops. Lots of White folks don’t have any contact with those kind of cops.

Thought they were above the law. "Who's going to arrest me, I'm a cop?" and "I'm a member of the largest gang in the country, mess with one of us and you mess we all of us", just a few of the things she use to say.

These guys are not your friends. I don't even make eye contact, I don't say hi or wave unless I have to. I give them plenty of room. Never ever talk to a cop without an attorney present.

And since it is Friday, It's shut the fuck up Friday. Caution, a lot of F-bombs in video. good advise.

Not because you are a minority or a rich White male. They want convictions.
