He can probably only legally use it for his campaign and nothing else. Of course he will ignore any laws he doesn't like as usual.

Depending on whether or not he had the Roll Royce engine(s) replaced or overhauled (I'm betting overhauled, as new ones wouldn't be necessary) he was looking at a bill ranging from anywhere near $1 million for the overhaul up to $20 million for a new one. The overhaul price could vary wildly depending on what the engine(s) needed. Keep in mind that there was a newish engine installed on that aircraft to ferry it from Newburgh, New York to Louisiana.

I'm by no means an expert on this subject, merely an enthusiast with a moderate background in aviation, but moving it from New York to Lake Charles alone probably cost in excess of $30,000 for fuel and fees (remember it had to make an emergency stop in Nashville) and it was at the repair facility since last November at least, so depending on the long ass repair order they probably handed him, I'll bet it didn't go wheels up out of there for less than $10,000,000

It sat on the ground in Newburgh for a couple years and airplanes like that don't particularly like just sitting on the ramp in New England - shit will corrode just as you might guess, so I figure they did a rather thorough inspection and repair in order to get it's Airworthiness Certificate updated.

Standard issue engines for 757. What is he planning? Fly around the world twice? Where are the outside fuel tanks ?
