They just vote for Republicans because they think it’s some kind of game and they’re keeping score. The fact that it could affect their lives never enters their heads. So it is always up to Democrats to save the social programs at the Republicans always want to kill. ‘Twas ever thus

There was one NYT poll, with a subgroup of less than 100 independent women voters, that showed a 32 point shift from Dems to Republicans from September to October.

It’s an utterly meaningless poll, only useful to drive the media narrative, and nothing else.
