Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has once again expressed concern over the possibility that Ukraine could use a "dirty bomb" during the war in the future.
A dirty nuclear bomb, or "dirty bomb" as it is described by international bodies, is an explosive device capable of dispersing radioactive material, whose destructive capacity is significantly less than that of a nuclear weapon designed for this specific purpose but which nevertheless represents a serious threat because of its polluting character.
Russia had previously expressed its fears about this situation by accusing Kiev in October of trying to turn the Zaporiyia nuclear power plant into a "dirty nuclear bomb" through constant attacks on the facility and its surroundings, for which Kiev and Moscow blame each other.
This Sunday, Shoigu told his French counterpart, Sebastian Lecornu, of his concern about the possible use of this device given the "constant trend of uncontrolled escalation" that the conflict in Ukraine is exhibiting.

(12,274 posts)Ukrainians using "dirty" bombs in their own backyard. Yeah right.
Fucking Putin is planning on doing so, and "sane" people know it. As to the nut job especially here in the USA, screw you.

(10,053 posts)buy any. It is once again BS gaslighting by Putin, who will use it against his own occupied territory as predication for him to use one. We are smart enough to figure that one out and he knows it. Russian people are as brainwashed as republicans.

(65,060 posts)It's an obvious lie because it makes no sense for Ukraine to do that.
It's not like they're 5,000 miles away from the detonation point.
Also, on their own soil with external aid, they can afford a stalemate. They've got no reason to use a last resort weapon.
It's made up, and stupidly so.

(6,536 posts)Russia recognizes it is losing the war. Russia can't stop the troop hemorrhaging and the imminent threat of losing Crimea, so it once again resorts to the "nuclear threat." It would be a big mistake on Russia's part.
