nearby rabbits, small birds, and squirrels--especially the young--to avoid frightening them and not infrequently known to "mother" the orphans. So, I think squeakers certainly get their attention (and that may be related to the sound of young animals) but I don't think it is necessarily aggression-based for the dog.
