(11,470 posts)Just went walking in Medford OR where its more conservative and ran into a guy with clip board going door to door to get registered voters to turn in the ballot since we are all by mail. I assumed he was republican and was wrong. Good to see the democrats going for every vote in this state. With a spoiler running for governor we have a chance of a republican which is awful in a blue state.

Today I went to Beto's last big Tarrant County rally. Huge crowd, very enthusiastic. Signed up to block walk with Beto's team in my section of FW on Saturday. The rally is already up on You Tube.
Organizing lit drops to go out over the weekend so folks have them before they vote, whether early or on Election Day.
I have about 30 more postcards to write and stamp then they can go to the PO tomorrow.
I fully intend to be totally worn out by the day before Election Day, so I can say I have done what I could. Then I am going to be an Alternate Judge on Election Day.

(25,360 posts)Hubby drove today and I went to 110 doors today.
This is just in my precinct. I have 167 doors left, (list was 460, some were eliminated when they returned their mail ballots. Others are 20 something yo kids living with Republican parents, so I avoided those, because the parents are the ones who are gonna read the lit anyway. Fortunately my list size will shrink Monday evening!
I also live on the edge of the Hill Country. The terrain and steps are steep in parts of my precinct. I can't imagine blockwalking in places like the Dominion.
