The same thing applies.

Inflation hurts those with limited finances.

Some of the price rises are plain old profiteering, with rising energy and labor costs as the excuse.

So not irrelevant . . . you live in a global economy. You just don't know it.

The Inflation Reduction Act hasn't done anything YET to reduce inflation...

From the Wharton School Budget Model:

The Act would have no meaningful effect on inflation in the near term but would reduce inflation by around 0.1 percentage points by the middle of the first decade. These point estimates, however, are not statistically different from zero, indicating a low level of confidence that the legislation would have any measurable impact on inflation.

The IRA contains valuable programs, especially for the climate but it's impact on inflation seems to be dubious.

Forbes:

While its name claims it will tame soaring inflation, estimates show that the bill likely won’t do much to pull down the inflation rate. But it remains a significant piece of legislation that accomplishes some initiatives that have been mired in congressional debate for decades.

NPR:

While experts generally agree that the legislation will modestly help slow the growth of prices, it may not do so in the ways you think, or as quickly.

Will actually reduce the inflation rate just like it says. They shouldn't be blamed for being skeptical when it hasn't. Yet people like to call them stupid or ignorant when they don't see prices going down as promised.
