'Keith Ellison here. Im running for re-election for Minnesota Attorney General and Im in the race of my life. The PCCC and I have fought for justice together for YEARS. Today, I'm in a neck-and-neck race for re-election, and I need your help.
You may remember that when Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd in broad daylight, we got him convicted. He is now serving 22 years. We've taken on some of the biggest cases, from Derek Chauvin, to suing Exxon Mobil and the opiods companies.
As Attorney General, Ive been fighting to help people afford their lives and live with dignity, safety, and respect, especially when they have nowhere else to turn for help.
Can I count on you to pitch in?'

(21,185 posts)I have a yahoo account that is inundated with campaign appeals. I started using a gmail account because I never gave it out in anything political!

(36,509 posts)And the texts are LONG. And when you send STOP to one number, a different number starts sending texts. I have no proof, but I think that Act Blue, which does all the fund raising for dem candidates, shares your email/phone number with democratic pundits. Why else would I be getting texts from James Carville asking me to give to some dem campaign? I wouldn't stop contributing because of it, but I'm sure some people would.

(53,056 posts)I was actually surprised he won the AG slot the first time because of the nature of Greater Minnesota. His re-election is probably tougher.
