Tom Brady Is Texting With Ron DeSantis. Why Aren't Conservatives Telling Him To Stick To Sports?

Tom Brady has always been circumspect about his politics. He put a MAGA hat in his locker during Donald Trump’s campaign for president but skipped the traditional post-Super Bowl White House appearance during both the Obama and Trump presidencies. He never kneeled when dozens of other NFL players protested police violence, but he stood with his teammates during a show of solidarity during the controversy over kneeling and said in interviews that he disagreed with Trump calling for players to be cut.

For all we know, Brady has never cast a vote. But one thing we do know for sure is that the same conservatives who have routinely called for Black players (and commentators for that matter) to stick to sports have never, ever said the same thing of Brady, football’s golden boy of the past two decades, on the occasions that he’s said or done anything political.

That silence is as loud as ever after a new report that Brady is on a texting basis with Florida governor, election intimidator-in-chief and migrant trafficker Ron DeSantis, a detail that came out from via Tim Michaels, the Republican gubernatorial nominee, who was apparently on a clout chase with some of his boosters last week.

It's because they are okay with conservative sport figures shooting their mouth off, especially since they tend to be of a paler complexion.

8. Because the only thing Conservatives really care about is POWER.

They have no other real core value except obtaining and maintaining power. When have Conservatives ever been consistent on any of their stated ideas? They care about "fiscal responsibility" but are the people who have cut revenues from taxing the wealthy, and then borrowed money from China and others to fund wars. They talk about "small government" but then under Reagan, expanded the size and budget of the Federal Government to 3 times its previous size. They are willing to increase government for domestic surveillance and with respect to policing women's bodies and minorities. They say they promote "family values" but then support serial adulterers, sexual assaulters, and people who traffic underage women.

It is no surprise that they aren't telling Brady to lay off a political opinion. It is an opinion that they agree with, and one that if followed, would give Conservatives more power.

Brady is involved with a lot of charity work, who’s to say he isn’t in touch with DeSantis in relation to that? And that’s if he’s in touch with him at all. I mean what football advice could that asshole give him? What political advice can the GOAT give to the asshole? Do you think they exchange vegan recipes? Highly unlikely.

A lot of speculation and no proof of anything. Especially coming from people who lie about literally everything.

I'm8 with you. We have no idea what's in those texts.
If it's about him rooting for a DeSantis win, then I'll condemn it.
But, we don't know that yet.

12. Seems pretty speculative. I don't love TB, but this is kind of a silly article imo.

It leads the reader to conclude that they are in regular comms and “who knows what about” but certainly it is about politics or whore privelage, etc. “You Decide”

Maybe it’s about a charity event. Or 1 of 1000 other possibilities. Maybe it’s about politics, maybe it’s about a pot hole on Tom’s street
