I am posting this part here in the body of the OP instead of leading with it, but I almost feel like the kGQPb counts the early vote so they will know how much to cheat on election day.

It's wrong for me to be so pessimistic, but this ain't my first rodeo.

I don't think that is why they chose him.

They chose him because he is famous and popular. His connection to Georgia Football is a huge advantage to him. It is part of a theme in the MAGA world that is really driving this entire Senate election from Walker to OZ to Vance. They are all people that came with fame outside of politics. Because they are trying to emulate Trump and capture the zeitgeist of not being a politician. That tends to be seen as a good thing for people who hate Government. Never mind if you actually have the skills to govern as long as you can get elected and carry the torch for the GOP (pun untended).
