Their contempt for those who vote Democratic is breathtaking, as the astonishing deceit required to try to put themselves over as a "better" version of Democrats would be if the Republicans hadn't already accustomed us to the unbelievable. But that kind of extreme self delusion, extreme lack of awareness that the principles of others even exist, much less ability to respect them, and extreme ruthlessness are common extremist traits.

I have friends who will/have voted for him, because they just want a change of policies. Good change/bad change? I dunno. Just change. Seems to be a common sentiment.

Don't forget, Bloomberg had a not insignificant amount of support among Democrats when he decided to billionairely bounce on in at a late date.

Not my circus. I've already voted. The only race left in California I'm interested in is Jay Chen taking on Republican incumbent Michelle Steel in CA-45. It feels winnable for us.

Also, given it's two Asian-American candidates in a heavily AAPI district, it has gotten bizarrely goofy. Steel's been doing dirty tricks to make people think Chen is some kind of Chinese sleeper agent. Chen. The guy from Taiwan.

They're having to navigate the Asian-American diaspora in this granular way, because what Vietnam immigrants care about isn't necessarily what Korean immigrant communities care about, etc. etc. The communities don't necessarily break down along the usual Republican/Democratic lines.

It's actually pretty interesting to observe.

If Bass is now running on being an """establishment Democrat""" -- oh, the horrors! -- it's probably because of her history of being far left is scaring off even super blue California voters and she is trying to win those types back. The fact that Uygur can't see this and would turn on "one of his own" this easily is just more proof that this particular segment of progressives just are ... I don't even know what to call them. Not serious people and certainly not the people you look to if you want to see actual PROGRESS made.
