(4,440 posts)Most of the early mail n vote already goes to getter man. Its the Election Day republicans and independents who vote r in person that this can sway. We should welcome them.

(129,428 posts)so not "on the ballot regardless" unless someone goes through the trouble to manually add his name in a "Write-in" field on their own ballot - whether on an absentee ballot (excuse or no-excuse) or on whatever method they will be using on election day at the polls (machine, paper ballot for a machine ballot reader, etc.).

If youre on TV a lot, that tends to lend authority and credibility, and repetition never hurts. You become somehow established, and you have an automatic platform that you can use for other avenues of power and influence.
The As Seen on TV! thing is POWERFUL as all-get-out.

(11,108 posts)is contrary to the ideals of a democratic republic. Anyone who qualifies as a candidate must be allowed to run - and have votes for them counted. No where is it written that only Democrats and Republicans can run for office.
If we start deciding who may or may not run for election, I have little doubt the MAGAts would ban non-MAGAts from seeking public office.
