So Russia participated at a UN discussion today, and once again spewed its disinformation campaign re the alleged "Ukrainian" dirty bomb. I'm sorry I don't have a clear link to the discussion. Will try again later.
One of the countries mentioned stated that Russia had provided no evidence at all of this alleged construction of a bomb. Russia, in order to lay on the blather against Ukraine, also included bio and chem weapons. One country mentioned how the UN had already addressed these extra issues in March and May of 2022.
Russia is apparently asking for an investigation in Ukraine under Article 6 of the charter, and they are basically saying this is their right, what's it to ya? Not sure what that gets them. I got the impression that nobody believes any of Russia's accusations.
But, Putin is out there blathering away about it at various meetings. He does sound desperate. Russia has clearly decided to launch this disinformation campaign, roping in the US and the West in an attempt to blame others for its own ill advised invasion of another sovereign country. They are awfully pissed that Ukraine has friends helping them in their defense of their country.
I don't know how much of this crap is for us or for their own citizens, but none of it seems to be working. Russia has been warned again and again that if they launch a nuke or cause a dirty bomb, we will respond. The solution is very simple: If you are so concerned about Ukraine and an alleged bomb, then pack up and go home. Withdraw. They will never get a clear field to just take over Ukraine, which is what they are whining about. Good Gawd, they are childish.
Ukraine needs air defense. Someone please give them a modern air defense system. Israel, it would not have hurt you in any way...
