who are disturbed to act in violent ways. That's not to say all or even most mentally ill people are violent; but in some cases a person who is already somewhat unbalanced and has paranoid tendencies can interpret the politically-motivated rants of basement keyboard warriors as instructions to act them out. Those who commit these crimes are, of course, legally responsible (unless they are so mentally ill that they are able to maintain an insanity defense - a very rare circumstance), but those who inflame them are just as responsible. This is stochastic terrorism. The inflamers and ranters know there will be people who are just unhinged enough to go out and hurt or kill their targets because they were encouraged to do so.
