By Oliver Darcy and Donie O'Sullivan, CNN
Updated 4:48 PM EDT, Sun October 30, 2022

... The new Twitter owner tweeted a link to an article full of baseless claims about Pelosi. The article was posted on a website that purports to be a news outlet.

Musk .. posted the baseless story about Pelosi in response to a tweet from Hilary Clinton at 8:15 am ET. He later deleted the tweet around 2 pm, but not before racking up more than 28,000 retweets and 100,000 likes ...

In 2016 the same website falsely claimed that Clinton had died and that the person on the presidential campaign trail was not Clinton but her body double ...

Never been on either, but a I get the great digital-human connection that these platforms deliver. I'm analog when it comes to human connections that are meaningful to me.

25% is a bit low. They have $14 billion in assets, so it was a decent deal at 1/3rd what he paid.
He foolishly backed himself into a corner and overpaid by 200%.
He's done some wise investing. I don't think this is an example of that.

Musk initially responded to Clinton’s tweet: “There is a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye,” attaching a link to an article falsely claiming that Paul Pelosi’s attacker was a lover he met at a bar in the middle of the night.

The claim is not credible by any means and further threatens the safety of not only Pelosi and her family but also those in the LGBTQ community. Police confirmed to NBC News that Paul Pelosi and the suspected attacker did not know each other prior to the attack, debunking the conspiracy elevated by Musk.
