OP
We need 51 people on the Supreme Court. It would protect us from a Subversive 6.

Kavanaugh and Alito seem to take the whole thing very personally.
I don't know why they even bother with the hearing.

he doesn't belong on the court. And the level of intentional cluelessness is astounding and insulting.

And from my standpoint as a black American, as far as I'm concerned, it is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you. You will be lynched, destroyed, caricatured by a committee of the U.S. -- U.S. Senate, rather than hung from a tree.
Thomas's answer to then Senator Joe Biden shows he clearly knows what diversity means.
"And from my standpoint as a black American...unless you kowtow to an old order..."
Said old order being the white (male) dominant power structure and its opinion of black Americans.
Regardless of anyone's opinion of Clarence Thomas, his answer clearly reflects an understanding of the word diversity.
Whether or not he truly supports full diversity - he definitely understands the concept.
So, he's lying - but DUH.
