Read that deleting or blocking all advertising hurts the Muskox more than deleting your account. Takes revenue away from him.

3. What is it exactly (people in general) think is being accomplished by 'deleting (their) account'?

Just curious the logic people are using in this sort of decision?

You can 'delete' all you want, but they aren't just gonna forget you.

Removing the app from your phone and simply never visiting the site moving forward (on phone or browser) accomplishes more in the grand scheme of things, just saying.

10. Deactivating our accounts is starving the beast..

which is the point.

I opened an account years ago, to keep up with other music friends who migrated to the East Coast for various music studies etc. But I never really used it per se. Essentially, I've been an absentee account holder.

I deactivated it because I never want to be connected to that platform for any reason on any level.

12. Keeping an account but never actually using it/visiting the site or the app

Actually costs them more.

The way they actually make money is people viewing the content.

I mean, if it makes you feel better to delete your account, by all means do.

But the existence of your open account, intrinsically ... costs them money, it doesn't make them money.

Unless you visit the site/use the app.

Just sayin'

4. Did you check your SETTINGS?

Most social media platforms have a SETTINGS button. People I know with Twitter accounts have been able to de-activate their accounts without any problems.

Hope that helps.

8. Good advice. My Twitter feed shows a column of icons on the left side of the page.

Three Dots (More) - Settings and Support - Settings and Privacy - Deactivate Your Account.

I haven't done it, but I successfully clicked through to the last page to find the final command to deactivate and also have heard from others that it works.

I guess this is because people fear him as some kind of stay bull Jean us.
He's a frat boy that still makes fart jokes. You're going to let that rule what you can say?
