3. I don't see any hilarity

What I see is irrelevant fearmongering as a lame excuse to avoid doing anything about the actual fucking problem.

I realize there are those who prefer scapegoating and fearmongering to competent solutions.

I also realize that going after illegal immigrants is always popular with some and will remain so.

Stay fixated on scary foreign people and "Halloween Fentanyl"....

Fentanyl is a serious issue that isn't being treated as such here on DU.

I'd hope for better focus on the threat of a highly fatal drug that is killing too many young people.

But that was because insulin costs are so damned high some people can't afford it.

As others have noted, fentanyl is not a laughing matter. It also was not present in any halloween candy.
