(24,321 posts)ballots only need to be postmarked by election day, not recieved, so that allows a little more room for procrastination.

Here in CA we tend to have very long ballots.
I'm not about to break my 100% lifetime voting record.

(5,104 posts)I've taken him with me to the polls since he was a tyke. In 2008 (when he was 4) he helped me "ink" the ballot for Obama, and over the years we've made that a tradition.
Now he's away at college, but we blocked out some time to go over the ballot, which he filled out on his end (and then posted).
I think I've successfully inculcated the value of voting in my son.
Today, I'm a proud papa.

(9,080 posts)I always vote as quickly as I can so that stuff stops. It takes longer for the mailers to stop than it use to though.
Oh and I'm one of the "older (56)" voters who voted early.

(27,453 posts)I know we still have time but that number seems awfully low. People need to take this seriously, even in Blue CA. We have a lot of toss up districts, like Katie Porters. Would hate to lose her to some RWNJ.

We drove there tonight to see whats going on with the drop off situation, but had to leave with our ballots since there wasnt even a drop box. Darn. There was a man in front of me with ballots so we talked about where else to drop them off. He had just been to two specified locations and didnt find a box. If the library doesnt work out on Friday, well drive them to the Registrars office.
