Joe buys triple-thick black & white milkshake to celebrate granddaughter Natalie first time voting

Joe Biden @JoeBiden
There’s nothing like a triple-thick black and white milkshake to celebrate my granddaughter Natalie’s first time voting.

I talked him through it by phone (as he's away at college).

A huge right of passage.

Biden always makes me smile. He's a decent, loving human being and I am so proud to have him as my president!

What did I get in return? 12 straight years of GOP trickle down economics and all the rest of their BS. That was the beginning of the end for democracy in the US.

I have voted in every single election since turning 18 (local, state and fed). I even got my 1st grade students into voting (kids having a voice in anything is a big deal to them). We voted anonymously with paper ballots which were counted and tallied by them. Math, writing, reading and civics were all incorporated into the "lesson" by me. The issues were their issues (from which game to play at recess to who would be the certifiers of the election). We used privacy boards and no talking. It was all very serious. They even got to go on a mini field trip to the room behind the auditorium when real voting was taking place. They sat in silence and watched in awe and we all got "I Voted" stickers. The election workers gave me sheets of those stickers since I gave them to the kids each time we voted (and in 3 languages). I still have them and wear them myself after voting.

almost as much as taking his grand-daughter to vote for her first time.

Come to think of it, Joe celebrates just about everything with ice cream! 🍦 Good for you, Mr. President.

I think about how wonderful it is to have a NORMAL sort of family in the White House, and not the drama and dysfunction that Trump dragged around with him and Melania and their tatty gilt existence. This includes the normal ups and downs that regular families have.
