Signs of strain in the nations democratic system mounted Wednesday with less than a week left before the midterm elections, as President Biden warned that candidates who refuse to accept Tuesdays results could set the nation on a path to chaos, the Washington Post reports.
Bidens grim assessment in a speech Wednesday evening came as the FBI and other agencies have forecast that threats of violence from domestic extremists are likely to be on the rise after the election.

(1,138 posts)use chaos so that people call for more control. It is easier and more effective to get people to call for the stability which comes from the control of a Strong Leader than it is to impose control over those same people.

(21,487 posts)we're covering the speech, I found a CBS site with a video link labelled "watch the presidents's speech live here."
But I chose to watch it on PBS instead.
Maybe CBS only offered it online, not on local stations.
