I live in a blue area of a red state with few competitive races local or state wide but there hasn't been much polling on those either. The Dem signs have always outnumbered the GQP signs but I think I'm seeing less yard signs in general. I think the most signs I see for the initializes or local races. I've seen no bumper stickers except a few faded tRump stickers every now and then. I think I'm even seen fewer big GQP signs in the reliable red sticks on the side of the interstate.

(6,544 posts)Although turnout is way above norms. People are afraid to put them out.
We aren't! Go Stacey Abrams and Raphael Warnock!!

(3,396 posts)I have not seen 1 in this park of over 120 spaces this election cycle. 2 years ago (in the same park) there were probably 40-50 T*ump signs in this same park in North Salt Lake City, Utah.
I think the humpers are losing faith, and control over the rational (few) in Utah.
C'mon Evan, you can kick Lee to the dustbin of history.

(10,434 posts)For the last 30 years, it has constantly annoyed me that republicons put signs all over public right-of-ways and Democrats do not. Yard signs often favor Democrats but they are overwhelmed by the shitspackle of republicon signs at every damn intersection and in front of every strip mall and business.
When I travel to rural areas and small towns, for the last few weeks I've seen far fewer MF45 signs, but when I looked up the signs I did see, they were nearly all for republicon state & local candidates.

(8,924 posts)Most of my neighborhood are University faculty who mostly vote blue. But, our district is bright red all around us. Usually I see a few blue signs but not this year.

During my 4 mile walk earlier this evening I only saw one sign, and it turned out to be for one of those Harvest holy roller thingies.

(1,850 posts)And the billboards are all essentially saying vote R to protect...gun rights, social security, from socialism, freedom, other crazy crap. No candidates mentioned.
They drive me crazy whenever I drive by. Never noticed them before.
But I'm seeing fewer yard signs. I'm in a very red area.

(6,205 posts)and only two candidates sign with party affiliation. Mark Kelly and Katie Hobbs and other candidates from the Democratic party have no donkey on their signs. Kari Lake and Tom Horn have the elephant.

Especially the larger roadside signs. We have excellent signage this year. I have a lot in my yard but as a Precinct chair I feel it is my duty to do so.
Those Moms Against Abbott folks have some terrific billboards too.
Signs do not necessarily indicate who a winner might be, but I think they are important because they remind folk that an election is near. Some of the parents bringing kids to our house the other night commented they needed to remember to vote. (I gave them voter guides and Democratic candidate lists)

(1,323 posts)Almost no signs in my part of Fairfax, Virginia. But were only voting for one representative. The 2021 Governors race was a totally different story - signs all over the place, mostly Republican. We wound up with some wingnuts and a wolf in sheeps clothing after an unfortunate local incident, a small contingent of vocal right wingers decrying school teachings that didnt exist, and a very deceptive Republican campaign.

(31,392 posts)two weeks ago and was surprised to see so few signs for Republicans. Most of the signs supporting the orange one are gone.
I'm somewhat optimistic about Dems chances. I really hope the pollsters and pundits have underestimated the anger of women at the Dobbs decision and that the younger voters will finally show up on Election Day.

(129,087 posts)And I have rarely seen many "lawn signs" at mid-terms - and that included 2018.
I am actually shocked to see lawn signs here for some of the local races because usually those folks get by with a billion "postal mailers", door hang tags, or like what I encountered earlier in the week, something shoved under my car windshield wiper.

(7,412 posts)More Desantis stuff by at least a 10-1 margin. Nothing for Rubio or Val. Theres just not much enthusiasm for Crist unfortunately and Im in a blue county, crazy that two leading Democratic nominees were the former Republican Governor and a Democrat that donates a lot of money to Republicans.
