Turns out that Bolsonaro is way more democratic and responsible

than the Slobfather and his goons. Bannon, Pillow Guy and Slobby must be so disappointed.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-63494525

Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro has appealed to truckers protesting against Sunday's election results to clear the roads and protest elsewhere.

Supporters of the far-right president have erected hundreds of roadblocks across Brazil since it was announced that Mr Bolsonaro's left-wing rival Lula won the election.

Mr Bolsonaro said blocking roads was not a part of "legitimate" protests.

He encouraged people to choose other ways of demonstrating.

allow the "unrest/set-ups" (they surely arranged in the event of his losing) to proceed. I'd have to suspect Bolsonaro KNOWS he can't trust Trump any more than we do. The history of US relationships with South American dictators is fraught at best and someone like Trump would not think twice about turning on Bolsonaro for his own benefit.

So, maybe he actually does sincerely care about his country, unlike Trump... or maybe he just sees the writing on the wall and is biding his time for the next election. We shall see.

Are the big banks facilitating the rise of fascism? Remember now the German bank has provided loads of money for the Slobfather.

The rise in record corporate profits, and creating rampant inflation for voters just before election time, certainly suggests they're attempting to sway the outcome of the mid-term elections.

But they wouldn't do that. Would they?

Reluctant and late in coming.

Brazilian citizens already started clearing out the roadblocks. This strategy wasn't going to work.

Bolsonaro is allowing a transition, but he still hasn't acknowledged the election result.

It's a case of partially doing the right thing... after trying every alternative.

Bolsonaro's autocratic instincts just aren't as greedily stupid as TFG's.

Bolsonaro doesn't have a means to rip the simple people off and fundraise like the Con does. This of course being many of Bolsonaro's followers are too poor to be contributing regularly to his election. The Con here is able to do so because millions of simpleminded are dumb enough to give him their money.

CIA director urged Bolsonaro to stop doubting Brazil’s voting system – report

Fears Brazilian president might refuse to accept defeat in this year’s election as leftist rival Lula is set to announce candidacy

The CIA director William Burns urged Jair Bolsonaro to stop questioning his country’s voting system, it has been claimed, amid growing fears the Brazilian president might refuse to accept defeat in this year’s election.
Polls suggest Bolsonaro, a far-right populist famed for his adulation of Donald Trump, will struggle to secure a second term when about 150 million Brazilians head to the polls in October to choose their next leader.

…snip…

On Thursday, Reuters claimed that last year the CIA chief had told top Bolsonaro officials their president should stop casting doubt on Brazil’s voting system during an “intimate” private encounter in the capital, Brasília.

When the meeting took place, in July last year, Bolsonaro hinted Burns’s visit was partly motivated by US concern over the political situation in neighbouring countries such as Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile. However, Reuters claimed Burns had voiced concern over the situation in Brazil, telling two of Bolsonaro’s closest allies that “the democratic process was sacred, and that Bolsonaro should not be talking in that way” about the election.
