They’ll either freeze SS or come up with some chicken shit formula that won’t come close to keeping up with inflation.

Stating that when SS started the life expectancy was 58 for men and 62 for women (1930). Then when no new money comes in, they will declare it bankrupt and end it..
I hope not but that's my take..

9. They've been trying since FDR's New Deal instituted it.

It'll newer happen as older voters are a big part of the republicans base, and they are the recipients of Social Security, along with the disabled and some others.

I don't know why that fact fails to compute in the republican mind. It makes little sense but let then keep tilting at windmills.

All I can figure is their plan to destroy voting completely which no longer seems far fetched.

and And AND they send old tricky ricky scott to telegraph their intentions out on the political trail. I would assume (mistake?) they would keep it quiet and then spring it on unsuspecting repuke voters..
I just don't get it, makes no sense to me.. Then again the other side never did make any sense to me..

Latest COLA
The latest COLA is 8.7 percent for Social Security benefits and SSI payments. Social Security benefits will increase by 8.7 percent beginning with the December 2022 benefits, which are payable in January 2023. Federal SSI payment levels will also increase by 8.7 percent effective for payments made for January 2023. Because the normal SSI payment date is the first of the month and January 1 is a holiday, the SSI payments for January are always made at the end of the previous December.
