CNBC is cancelling Shepard Smith's show

CNBC is cancelling Shep Smith's show amid a broad network restructuring that president KC Sullivan said will force the business news channel to "make some difficult decisions."

"The News set out on a bold mission of providing non-partisan, fact-based reporting on the most important stories of the day in the U.S. and around the world," Sullivan wrote in an internal memo on Thursday, referring to Smith's show. "At a time when misinformation and disinformation is rampant, The News succeeded in providing audiences with the clearest understanding of the facts."

In his note to staff, Sullivan said that cancelling Smith's program was part of a decision to refocus the network on core business and finance programming. The News with Shep Smith will be replaced by a new business news program launching next year

....and keep the format. MSNBC needs to have some actual "news" once in a while. The "news" updates there are few and far between.

It is amusing that Tara Reade has come out as a Russian agent

I never watch his show except maybe to catch the few minutes before Rachel comes on.

Trusting conservatives is stupid.
Hayes made one the best arguments for supporting any Democrat on TV I've ever heard last cycle in a town hall in Flint Michigan
Flushing that away because of one story MSNBC probably made him cover is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I have not paid any attention to Hayes. I still remember this person giggling with Susan Sarandon stated that she was supporting TFG because she wanted a revolution

I have never believed that Hayes is a credible source of information

Having a Russia agent on his show to attempt to hurt the Democratic nominee disqualifies Hayes as a source of information for my tastes.

When he was still at the Fox "news" Sewer, he said that he wanted to do a "just the news" show. And that's what this was. I liked it.

Alex Wagner, RAchel Maddow, Chris Hayes, actually all of the primetime lineup is great.

The obvious answer is to give him one of MJ's hours or, better yet, replace Alan Greenspan's wife. Either timeslot would be good for a "just the news" show.
