Here's what's going on at Twitter right now: It's a nightmare.

Employees are sounding the alarm about how it could make getting reliable information on this site during Tuesday's elections impossible.

The only person I think is save washerman: somebody that needs Twitter far less than they need him. I imagine he may end up just working network decision desks instead. Will probably be a better use of everybody’s time.

Also seeing journalists/authors saying that today when they report tweets with hostile anti-Jewish content directed at them, they are getting notifications back within 1 minute, or 2, that the tweet isn't a violation. They note this is a change compared to pre-Elmo Mush times.

So yeah, Twitter has been turned into a shitshow that will rapidly worsen as right wing assholes realize they have more room to operate. Just in time for election day. Lovely.

In the link in that tweet, there's the old trick of substituting an upper-case I for a lower-case l.

The rest may be a shitshow, but as long as they don't disappear, I'll still rely on them.

Never in a million years would I consider Twitter the place to turn for election coverage. As far as reliable news networks - if they are on Twitter they are probably also on half a dozen other social media platforms.
